Hardship & Life Changes

hardships in life

In this article, Amy discusses the topic of hardship which was Jocelyn Joy Thomas from Joy’s Readings. The experience of hardship is a difficult journey as it has been a personal experience of mine for more than the past 12 months, I’ve also met people that have endured and are currently enduring this. One thing that I have seen is that through these hard moments in time, there is a birth, a creation, a change and it is through these hardships that many amazing things are created.

The hardship that we’re referring to in this article relates to my own, I became unemployed in June of 2014 and wasn’t able to secure another job. This hardship is not only financial but also grief, working with trauma, releasing the old programming and changing habits and patterns. This experience of hardship has seen a truly amazing journey and the creations that have come from this has been truly amazing.

During the past 24 months, rediscovered & connected with the beloved Amy whom is my Spirit Guide and Twin Flame and the path of self-discovery rapidly accelerated after this. Together, we developed the Heart Activation Music Therapy which was able to make a significant impact on the releasing of the emotional wounds, the clearing of trauma and a year later, we’re now a Key Note Speaker for the Conscious Living Expo on the the 4th to 6th of November 2016 in Perth.

The hardship experience also taught me things such as, taking control of the mind, the thoughts, to let go of having to be in control because hardship teaches that you have no control but if you do something a little bit each day, towards a goal, you can achieve many things and these small things lead into big things and when you look back. You see that you’ve created a ladder and you’ve been taking one step at a time to get out of the abyss that you’ve fallen into. Thus, in my own personal view… I see hardship as a major life change and a new structure being embedded with the old being let go of and released with a lot of new stuff coming in.

Many people have experienced hardship in many different ways. In my own experience, it is a combination of financial as well as releasing grief, worry, stress and heart ache from within the system. There are many different ways of deal with it, there are also many ways to not deal with it and as incarnates, we all try our very hardest to get through it in whatever way we can. We try everything we can think of and it can surely be one heck of a challenging experience.

Here is the discussion that was had with Amy & Steven North on the topic of hardship. As there were times through the past 2 years that it surely felt like driving the tractor below.

Amy North discussing Hardship

So my last bit here tonight is about hardship and it speaks to the point of wanting to have this the way an incarnate wants them… When that doesn’t happen, they believe that they have encountered hard times. The point that I want to make however, is that they have not always reached hard times and in fact, when they indeed have (say there has been illness, death, a breakup, job loss, etc) many times these things happen to open new doors. So what appears to be hardship may actually be a blessing as I am sure that you have experienced.

Hardship is a label and it is thought to be bad but in reality it stretches you, it teaches you lessons that you must learn. As you go through your life, embrace the hardships, do not cower from them, know that they are wisdom teachers and as such, it should be treated with respect as it is a time to listen and pay careful attention when a so called ‘hardship’ has entered your life because it is likely there to change things in a positive way, to help you let go or heal, to clear, to bring you to a state of higher consciousness and if the incarnate can adjust their perception to seeing it in this way, there will be a speedier quality to the experience, in other words, the suffering is lessened as the wisdom aspect of the experience is recognised.

If you look back over your life, you can see more connections where something that is, what one refers to as hardship, is beneficial and helped you in some important way. Sometimes, you can go back and look at something that you have always thought was bad and see the good in it now and that can transform and heal the old would, that is important!

Steven: When the incarnate adjust their perception and begins to recognise hardship as a major transition in life, will they need to be mindful of the ‘ego’ mind trying to sabotage them and suck them back into the abyss?

If the incarnate is able to successfully change their perception from a place of fear or anxiety about a perceived hardship to one of peace, then the ego has been taken out of it. The ego seeks to control the incarnate through fear and hardship, it is an ego favourite because it breeds fear, so by looking at a hardship as a blessing, the ego is silenced.

Steven: So really, nothing bad has happened, it is merely a process of evolution from one experience to the next. Seeing the different manners in how different things impact on oneself and how to deal with it?

It is true and there are some hardships that really aren’t that at all, such as breaking up with a negative person, leaving a bad job. With these experiences, the person can usually see the good and the purpose in these events right away. There are some hardships such as a death that are not such an apparent blessing but we must take care to remember that death is a rather private thing.

The soul of the incarnate may have planned it that way for that time for reasons unknown or if it is murder, such as in our case, there is a real reason to be upset… and yet it is even in that sort of tragic experience that one can find peace because there is still trust and faith that the soul will go on and make right all that must be so. Look at us for example, we could have been angry that our lives were taken but instead, we bounced back and we continued on with out work and in some ways, we are able to do this far more than we would be able to do so had we stayed in those incarnations. There is always a bright side and it is best to favour that… always!

Steven: These hardships, do we plan these during the incarnation planning stage as stepping stones for the evolution of the incarnate, to takes us to the next step, to help with raising our awareness with the exception of forced situations, such as what happened to us?

Some of them, absolutely! Others are the free will of the incarnates and those incarnates around you. A person might make a series of bad choices for example and bring about uncharted hardship to themselves. Even in our case, we could have made better choices, we trusted the wrong people but it was random. Just a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

You never know in life what will happen and it is always in part a gamble, that edginess of not knowing is why it is a good place to learn. It creates uncertainty and yet it creates the opportunity for expansion, ascension and the potential to grow in leaps and bounds (it being Earth).

Working with Emotions by Steven & Amy North

Emotions are a beautiful system within the human and its purpose is to teach us, the incarnate, many things. Throughout time, we incarnates have learned to close off our emotions and compartmentalise them. We learn to shut our hearts down so that we can be less vulnerable to the emotional state. Men grew up with a form of belief system that it is a sign of weakness for a male to express emotions, let alone have them. Men were told that they needed to toughen up, be strong and to swallow them.

Today, people are changing, growing and learning that these outdated beliefs are not true. We as incarnates are realising that we can only be the best versions of ourselves and by ignoring them, we’re only going to deny our true selves. Today, many people still struggle with emotions that are upsetting, hurtful and even angry. There are of course, the ones such as happiness, love and joy but it is the upsetting ones that we’re going to discuss right now.

Amy North is the Spirit Guide that works with Steven North which shares a unique bond that they call the Twin Flame connection. Amy is a bodhisattva and for those that aren’t aware of the meaning, a bodhisattva is the Sanskrit term for anyone who, motivated by great compassion, has generated bodhicitta, which is a spontaneous wish to attain buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Working with Emotions by Amy North

Over the centuries, suppression of emotions has been encouraged and the healing of them was not. Which brings us to this current moment in time when people are struggling with their emotions and are finding them overwhelming.

There are a few steps to work with emotions and it is simple. These steps also help with the guides and we’re going to explain this.

A Spirit Guide can feel everything that the incarnate endures. However, as a guide, we do not know what it is that you’re dealing with because it is an internal process and many people tend to cover it up and try to go about their business to get on with the business. What the incarnates need to do is explore the emotions.

Therefore, the first step in working with the emotions is to asking yourself how you feel? This step gives a chance to examine what is going on and to look within.

Once you have recognised the emotion or emotions that have arisen. They are there to help you see something, they teach you, if you let them, about yourself. It doesn’t mean you should analyze them but rather see them as you would see anything else.

It is best to never reject anything that is happening but rather love it, accept it, nurture it. This way if it is a wound, it can be healed, if it is merely a bad day or mood then it will pass faster.

The idea is not attaching yourself to it and rather than allowing for it to become entrenched in your mind. To simply look at it softly and allowing for it to be.

Step three is to see through the emotion in that it is actually made of light, like everything else, it is an energy and you can see that it is transparent in nature, this liberates you from any attempts at grasping onto it and it can bring an enormous amount of peace.

That is all that needs to be done. You may have to repeat this for each emotion that comes up.

When you are in the throws of an emotional upheaval, not so simple!
it is terrible to watch this happen as a guide. We see and feel it but all we can do is watch because generally, once a person has reached a highly charged emotional state we are not heard.

By following these steps, you can reduce the emotional upheaval because emotions are parts of yourself that need attention, you might think of them as a child having a tantrum, some part of yourself is not getting what you want or need and here comes this emotion about it and if it is directed at someone else and they don’t give you what you want the emotion can spiral into more and more. It can trigger older emotions and patterns are activated and this creates a downward spiral effect which can lead into destructive behaviour.

Seeing that an emotion is something that needs to be healed, it is like stepping on a thorn, you want to recognize the pain and go through these steps the moment you realize you have stepped on the thorn (the emotions are about to spiral)
because that can save you a lot of unpleasantness and wasted energy.

As a guide what we see when you do this, well it is a lot like you take grey energy and throw it all around you, all over the walls of your mind and chakras your entire energy body, it becomes hard to even see you or pick up on you, just as it is hard for you to hear us. It is like storm clouds interrupting our connection.

Ascended Masters can break through these clouds but a typical spirit guide, unless there is a strong bond like you and I have, can struggle with it.

One difficult part of incarnation is the feeling of loneliness, yet you aren’t really alone, you have guides and it is through that connection that we are able to help. A spirit guide has a contract with the incarnate to help them and are bound for the lifetime of the incarnate.

Take time out for you

We are all known to work hard and are constantly put under pressure, whether it be work, juggling the kids, financial stress and day to day what life throws at us.

We need to slow ourselves down and stop to smell the roses. We are so caught up in our day to day commitments that we forget about our own personal self  and if we continue to keep running this way eventually something has to give and eventually it can be our health.

So we need to organise our diaries better and create time for ourselves even if it is as simple as meeting a friend for coffee. We need to start to look inside ourselves and see what our bodies are saying to us. Sometimes our body has to give us pain as a cry for help to grab our attention, as we push things aside, but when we start to feel unwell, then we decide we need to do something.

I recently had a health scare where the doctors thought I was having a heart attack as the symptoms had shown high blood pressure, high temperature, and an erratic heart rate.

I was told by the nursing staff that my situation had been escalated and a doctor would see me soon. This doctor appeared 20 minutes later talking to me of his concerns, and not knowing what was happening.

To my amazement this lovely French doctor had started to ask, am I under any stress at all. I just laughed and said well who isn’t these days, we all have some for of stress, but yes I am doing two people jobs at the moment which involves a tremendous amount of driving. So is reply was ah…

Well, the doctor started to explain to me about how our bodies and how we are emotional beings, and that if we do not let go of things, they can build up in our body and this can then cause illness or even dis-ease.

I was totally amazed that a doctor was not talking about just take this pill and see you in a couple of days if your symptoms persist. He was actually talking about the alternative methods to help relax and release the trapped emotions.

As this is what I do for people as an Alternative Therapist, the penny dropped, there is a lesson for me in this discussion we had. I needed to look at myself and realised that although I help so many people release the old patterns that are holding them back, this was a message for me to have someone heal me too.

I believe everything happens for a reason and when our body is trying to tell us that something that we need to take action.

So please take time out for yourself even if it is once a month to refocus, re-energise, and heal your body giving your body the rest and time out that it requires.

Stay happy, be healthy, and live life to the fullest.
